North Hills – Variety and convenience.

Downtown Raleigh is only about a 10-minute drive.  Located about 5 minutes from the I-440 beltline and only about 15 minutes from I-540, North Hills is less than a 25 minute drive from the heart of the Research Triangle Park and only 30 minutes from either Durham or Cary.  Obviously, these times may change with traffic.

North Hills was established in the late 1950’s.  The bulk of its more than 150 homes were constructed in the 1960’s.  However there have been a fair number of homes constructed in this neighborhood throughout the past 40 years.

Homes range in size from 1400 to 4200 square feet and feature amenities such as naturally wooded lots, fireplaces (both gas and wood), decks and hardwood floors.  Homes in North Hills typically have 2-5 bedrooms, 1-4 baths, 2-car attached garages and lots ranging from .30 to 2.10 acres in size.

The neighborhood is located in Wake County. School assignments for the neighborhood are managed by Wake County Public School System.

There is no Homeowner’s Association in North Hills.

Property taxes are being reassessed but have generally varied from 0.99-1.069 of the property’s value.

North Hills offers variety both in terms of housing and entertainment.  Homes here run the gambit in both their style and size but maintain an elegance which make this neighborhood feel inviting.  Couple that with the close proximity to both the North Hills Shopping Center and the newly completed Greenway, North Hills should not be overlooked.
